Your role and responsibilities

We are an international pioneering technology leader that is writing the future of industrial digitalization. At the forefront is our Corporate Technology Center which provides industry leading software and deep domain expertise to help the world’s most asset-intensive industries solve their biggest challenges.


To strengthen our team in IIoT Platform and Applications stream, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer, who is an effective team player with excellent communication skills. As an IIoT P&A stream we are developing unified approach for software which consists of set of services and apps with individual lifecycles hosted on top of ABB common platforms for on-prem execution and cloud. As a DevOps Engineer you will be working with cross-functional and agile teams which operates in an international environment.


The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid


You will be mainly accountable for:

Integrate security tools and processes into the CI/CD pipelines to automate security testing and vulnerability assessments

Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure a seamless integration of security practices

Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate security tasks such as static code analysis, dynamic application security testing, and security configuration checks

Implement, monitoring and managing security tools to detect, analysis and timely responding to the results

Ensure that the development and deployment processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements

Educate and train development and operations teams on secure coding practices, security best practices and efficient usage of security analysis tools

Perform regular security risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement

Assist the operations team in resolving DevOps related issues

Create and maintain documentation related to security processes, policies, and tools

Qualifications for the role

  • Hands-on experience with proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI
  • Experience with security tools and processes such as SAST, DAST, SCA, and vulnerability scanners (e.g., SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, Invicti)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their security features
  • Strong understanding of application security principles like network security, encryption, access management and their best practices
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation along with ASPM, CSPM i.e Application Security and Cloud Security Posture Management
  • Hands on Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
