Customs & Trade Specialist

For our international client, we are seeking experienced Customs & Trade Specialists.

• Contribute to maintaining Customs compliance processes in the EU, ensuring accurate import/export declaration procedures and timely compliance.
• Support customs and trade compliance tasks, including customs declarations, duty payment, and reporting, following standard procedures to ensure compliance.
• Assist in maintaining customs duty optimization procedures and documentation, such as Outward Processing Relief and duty reclaim procedures.
• Identify and implement process improvements while ensuring compliance, assisting in developing new procedures and processes.
• Support preparation for customs audits and management reporting.
• Contribute to maintaining Origin and Trade compliance processes, ensuring correct application of country of origin and preferential origin data for cross-border movements and free trade agreements.
• Ensure timely collection of documentation from suppliers, compliance with rules of origin in free trade agreements, and issuance of origin documentation.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and authorities.Relevant work experience in Customs & Trade
• Fluency in English
• A degree in economics, accounting/finance, logistics or law; focus on international trade/customs/tax law is an asset
• Knowledge about customs procedures, trade compliance, system automation
• Ability to work independently and, in the team
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications
• Proven strong analytical skills
