For our client, operating in engineering services with a global network of 11,000 professionals, they work on the world’s toughest challenges, with experience spanning over 150 countries around the world in the metals, energy, and infrastructure sectors. Our client is a Global EPCM company looking for a passionate designer to utilize your technical & leadership skills to positively make an impact on operations.
Your tasks:
- Review and verify engineering documentation prepared by yourself and other team members, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain consistency with national and international standards relevant to the project scope and discipline.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality of deliverables.
- Prepare material take-offs, I/O lists, instrument indexes, connection lists, and cable schedules as part of project documentation.
- Contribute to control concepts, system architecture development, and layout preparation.
- Develop 2D drawings and 3D models including instrument connections, cable routing, and junction box layouts.
- Support the creation of P&IDs, block diagrams, sketches, and control loop diagrams.
- Participate in the design of automation infrastructure such as control rooms, server rooms, and electrical distribution areas.
- Identify and resolve clashes in 3D models in coordination with other disciplines.
- Prepare installation specifications for instrumentation and automation systems.
- Develop PLC, DCS, and HMI/SCADA software depending on your skills and interest
Your background:
- Experience in I&C / C&A engineering within energy, industrial, or offshore projects.
- Ability to read and create P&IDs, electrical schematics, control loops, hookups, and loop diagrams.
- Practical knowledge of ATEX and instrumentation selection for hazardous areas.
- Experience with F&G, ESD, PCS system integration and related documentation.
- Proficiency in preparing material take-offs, I/O lists, cable schedules, and other engineering deliverables.
- Familiarity with CAD tools:
- AutoCAD – preferred
- Bentley MicroStation – nice to have
- 3D modeling tools (E3D/PDMS/SP3D) – strong advantage
- Strong understanding of engineering documentation, standards, and multidisciplinary coordination.
- Self‑driven, detail‑oriented, and able to work effectively within a project team.
Nice to have:
- Experience in offshore or large‑scale energy projects.
- Knowledge of PLC/DCS programming and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with 3D model coordination and clash detection workflows.
- Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, ISO, NORSOK, ATEX, API).
