Your responsibilities

  • Generate, condense and support the delivery of comprehensive, forward-looking and actionable consumer insights for the Heated Product category and the overall multi-category Nicotine landscape and CE markets to shape the short-, mid- and long-term Marketing and corporate strategies and plans; to enable effective strategical, operational and tactical business decisions
  • Aggregate data and research outcomes into meaningful and actionable insights by leveraging and linking multiple data sources and support turning those insights into clear and meaningful storylines and recommendations.
  • Drive consumer-centric culture embedded within the CE organisation.
  • Discuss insights/ findings and derive corresponding impact on strategy/ plans with CE Marketing & Management.
  • Support shaping a multi-category strategy by outlining key consumer trends & developments
  • Conduct, manage and own research and insights projects with external agency partners to deliver the insights agenda together with the Consumer Insights Manager Heated Products and the broader Consumer Insights Team
  • Address ad hoc business questions using in-depth market and consumer analysis.
  • Prepare deep dive consumer presentations for CE markets and be key contributor in preparation of business review presentations
  • Manage consumer research and analytics agencies across CE markets
  • Build a strong and trustful working relationship with the Category Consumer Insights Manager HP
  • Be an active contributor to the Consumer Insights Team and broader Insights & Foresights community across countries & cultures
  • Live the role of Consumer Insights Ambassador in Poland and for the HP category across the CE Area
  • Build effective working relationships with Area Marketing teams & influence them by driving consumer centric decision making
  • Act as a consultant to the CE Marketing community on all consumer insights & understanding related matters.
  • Be curious and open minded and perceive change as opportunity
  • Establish strong overall relationships with strategic agency partners, ensuring overall agency delivery is in line with business needs, best practice and BAT standards.

Our requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Marketing Research/Consumer Insights functions within a multinational FMCG company or in a leading research agency. Experience on both client and agency side is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of consumer and market research tools, both quantitative and qualitative
  • Deep understanding of and curiosity to understand consumer needs, attitudes and behaviours, as well as a good feeling for brands.
  • Strong holistic business understanding and commercial acumen
  • Strong analytical, conceptual and strategic skills
  • Ability to translate research results and data into actionable, compelling insights and opportunities.
  • Ability to provide independent, evidence-based and well-thought-through opinions as an input to management decision making.
  • Ability to derive and present clear, simple and actionable conclusions from complex and sometimes conflicting information sources
  • Ability to effectively influence across organisational layers and functions.
  • University degree (Master+) with focus on Marketing, Market Research and/or Statistics
  • Fluent in Polish & English language (written and spoken)

  • Understanding of the Nicotine industry, or other highly regulated consumer facing industries

Support the growth of our highly strategic Heated Products (HP) Category by being the clear voice of the consumer across BAT Central Europe Area markets (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Baltics):

- Generate, aggregate and support landing state of the art holistic and actionable consumer insights on the Heated Products (HP) category and overall multi-category nicotine landscape to ensure consumer-centric Marketing strategy and plan development as well as execution across Marketing functions and CE markets

- Conduct, manage and own research and insights projects with external agency partners to deliver the insights agenda together with the Consumer Insights Manager Heated Products and the broader Consumer Insights Team

- Drive continuous evaluation of category, brand and competitive performance KPIs to assess and highlight business opportunities and risks and enable effective strategical, operational and tactical business decisions

- Together with the Consumer Insights Manager Heated Products, support BAT’s global Insights & Foresights journey be feeding relevant CE insights into regional and global learning processes and learning agendas.

Represent the CE Area Consumer Insights team on the ground in Poland – one of CE’s most important markets, specifically for Heated Products – and – together with the local Insights & Foresights team - support the local team on consumer insights related matters

Reports to Senior Category Consumer Insights Manager, Central Europe Area (Direct Reporting Line) and Category Consumer Insights Manager Heated Products CE (dotted line)

Travel Required: Maximum 10%, mainly across CEN Area
