Job Description We’re looking for a Commercial Director to join us in Poland, Warsaw . The purpose of this role is to lead all aspects of the commercial insurance business within Coface PL, including identifying and leveraging emerging market opportunities for business development, planning and achieving sales results, monitoring the client portfolio, and building a network of relationships across various distribution channels.
Your responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing commercial plans and strategies.
- Continuously striving to accelerate and support the companys growth and success.
- Conducting market research and analyzing threats and opportunities.
- Ensuring the achievement of financial goals.
- Managing the process of acquiring, developing, and retaining clients, including selling Coface products and cross-selling.
- Overseeing the sales process – from client identification, through business discussions, to closing deals and ensuring complete documentation.
- Building and maintaining relationships with brokers and managing the Agent network (where applicable).
- Recruiting, training, and motivating employees in collaboration with the HR department.
- Leading negotiations with large commercial clients.
- Participating in skill development programs for the team, such as sales training and talent identification.
- Managing budgets and cost control to ensure effective resource utilization.
- Preparing accurate and detailed reports for senior management.
Qualifications Our requirements:
- Ability to navigate within regional structures and understand the business from a group-wide perspective.
- Ability to influence established processes and strategies.
- Strong experience in internal commercial department.
- Experience in managing a large team.
- Experience in commercial discussions and contractual management.
- Awareness of insurance captive management and governance.
- Experience of financial and budgetary management.
- Strong experience in critical thinking and execution.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to influence business change.
- Proven experience in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in English.
Desirable:
- Experience of working within a matrix based multi-national business.
- Experience of AI and the use of data to develop insurance business lines.
