Chief Accountant

Your responsibilities

• Day-to-day responsibility & management of the company's full accounting in accordance with the Accounting Act and tax law
• Responsibility for accounting policy, chart of accounts, circulation of accounting documents
• Preparation of tax declarations (VAT, CIT, JPK, withholding tax, etc.) and other reports for external institutions
• Responsibility for preparing the financial statements and liaising with the auditor
• Liaising with the Shared Service Department located outside Poland in relation to the application of accepted accounting principles
• Cooperating with external institutions (banks, tax office, customs office, GUS), company management and internal departments within the organization
• Supervising accounting, tax and financial aspects of the organization’s activities
• Monitoring changes in tax legislation and its ongoing implementation
• Proactively suggest improvements in subordinate areas

Our requirements

• University degree in economics, accounting or finance
• 5 years of professional experience, 2 years on senior Accounting independent position such as Deputy/Chief Accountant/Senior Accountant
• Very good knowledge of tax law, the Accounting Act, and other legislation enabling work in the professional environment
• Experience in handling international transactions (Intra EU transactions/ import/ export)
• Experience in working with ERP systems (SAP as advantage)
• Experience in an international environment
• Other social and interpersonal skills useful for working in an international organisation
• Experience in a company with a production and commercial profile is advantage
• Responsibility, commitment and reliability in carrying out assigned tasks
• Ability to work in dynamic environment
• Focus on details and efficiency
• Very good knowledge of English
