What is the opportunity?

We are now looking for a Category Manager Metal, who can be a part of our success! As a Category Manager Metal you are a key member of the Global Procurement Team. You will take leadership over Metal Category strategy development to ensure alignment with Arjo Global Supply Chain and Product Development objectives. You’ll leverage your experience to shape sourcing directions together with our team of professionals across all of our locations.

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of global sourcing strategy to further refine the procurement process and drive down costs
• Management of strategic suppliers located in Europe
• Co-development of roadmaps based on identified risks and opportunities
• Fostering collaboration with teams in Poland, China and Canada
• Leading global sourcing projects (RFI and RFQ/TCO cost-down development)
• Collaboration with R&Ds enabling launches of the competitive products portfolio

Required skills & experience

• Ability to lead remotely multinational teams in dedicated projects
• To coach and share knowledge and expertise with others
• To find business opportunities, organize and drive cost-out agenda
• Very good negotiation skills and confidence in dealing with suppliers
• Build and maintain good relations cross organization
• At least 5 years professional experience in procurement with global scope, while 2-3 years of category management (knowledge of toolbox, cost models)
• Proven track of records in Sourcing / Negotiations / Contract management
• Bachelor degree or equal / preferred Business
• Fluent in English
• Industry knowledge: market, material, production process will be an additional asset
