About the project

Join a leading eCommerce platform development project where you will manage a team of developers, guiding them to success while ensuring high standards of code quality. As a technical leader, you will drive the architectural direction, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor your team to grow their skills. The project focuses on building and enhancing an advanced eCommerce solution using Java, Spring, and potentially Python and Golang.

Your responsibilities

Management of the Polish BU team, ensuring that the team has clear assignments, roles and responsibilities.
Acting as a mentor for the team, helping them growing and developing new skills.
Establishing regular checkpoints with the BU team as well as conducting the annual performance review together with the UK management team.
Align to Reply Polska requirements and expectations in terms of work organisaton and team support.
Implement and oversee the development of our eCommerce platform, ensuring the use of best practices and high standards of code quality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, software developers, and architects to design, plan, develop, refactor, test, and deliver new features.
Perform and guide peer code reviews, providing detailed suggestions for fixes and improvements.
Develop and maintain unit tests as an integral part of the software development process.
Interact closely with product owners and product management teams to review and implement proposed designs.
Shape the technical direction of the project, making critical architectural decisions.

Our requirements

University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
At least 5 years of development experience.
Experience managing a team of at least 8-10 people.
Experience with project management and delivery management methodologies, waterfall, scrum, agile etc.
Significant experience in software development with backend development programming languages, particularly Java.
Experience with Python and Golang is also highly valued.
Extensive knowledge of best practice software development design patterns.
Proven track record in web-based application development using the Spring framework, Java, and JSP.
Experience working with SAP Commerce (nice to have) or any other eCommerce platform based on Spring and Java.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, allowing effective management and guidance of a team of developers.
Good communication skills in English and Polish.
Openness to visit Katowice office weekly.
