Data Product Analyst (Databricks / Data Platform)
Location: Hybrid (2-3 times a week in the office in Warsaw, negotiable)
Job type: B2B (with Hays Poland)
Length: long-term cooperation, first contract for 3 months
Start date: ASAP/1 month Rate: 120 - 168 pln/h (net+vat)
General information:
This role’s Focus is on data supporting key business processes, especially in the private equity area
Tasks:
- Close collaboration with the business: quick understanding of needs
- Challenging requirements
- Defining:
- Data mapping and transformation
- Working with large datasets (e.g. Excel with multiple sheets)
- Onboarding users to work with data
What we expect from you:
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst in a data-focused environment
- Proven ability to understand, define and document data, including business terms, metrics and logic
- Experience working with stakeholders to elicit and refine data requirements and translate them into clear specifications
- Practical experience working with data models, data structures and transformations, including mapping and lineage
- Strong understanding of data context and business meaning, not just technical structures
- Experience working with data platforms (Data Lake / Data Warehouse / MDM)
- Exposure to Databricks or similar cloud-based platforms
- Working knowledge of SQL, with ability to explore and validate datasets
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments, including user story definition and backlog refinement
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to act as a bridge between business and technical teams
- Experience in financial services, with understanding of:
- core financial data concepts (e.g. financial statements, performance metrics, KPIs)
- how data supports decision-making and reporting in investment environments
- Proficiency in English at B2+ level
- Nice to have:
- Higher Education in fields of computer science, mathematics or similar
