Job Description

As an integral part of the Bid Management team, the Bid Manager successfully leads the tender process and delivers top-quality responses. With excellent organizational, writing and project-management skills, the Bid Manager manages multiple bids covering Sapiens’ rich basket of solutions, and plays a crucial role in securing new business.

The bid manager leads and contributes to all phases of the proposal development process and manages and meets deadlines by defining roles and responsibilities, priorities and timelines. They work very closely with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to put together a winning proposal that is complete, comprehensive, accurate, and maximizes business opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

Our Bid Managers follow a structured approach to the bid-management process, which includes (although not limited to):

Review the tender/RFx

  • Review the tender/RFx documents to identify and understand the requirements and scope requested by the customers
  • Manage the response process end to end, including scheduling, assigning roles and responsibilities to stakeholders, following up with internal contributors, putting together top-notch answers, and ensuring timely delivery of responses
  • Become self-sufficient in replying to substantial portions of a bid on their own
  • Create, rewrite, and edit the responses from the various stakeholders (presale, product teams, technological teams, finance, legal and more)
  • Monitor the progress regularly to ensure the bid process is on track at all times
  • Manage the review process and draw together all supporting documents and pricing elements
  • Focus on continuous improvement in the bid-management process, including using and augmenting data repositories of existing content while creating boilerplate material

Skills and Experience

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in a bid-management position
  • Experience as a technical or marketing writer
  • Independent and a quick learner who pays high attention to details
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment where information must be obtained from numerous outside teams/experts globally
  • Commercial awareness – ability to understand industry requirements and needs to align bid responses appropriately and with a winning message
  • High organization skills and ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with the capacity to meet the deadlines of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills to converse with a range of stakeholders globally that will have varying levels of input into a bid’s content
  • Proficient in a variety of content-creation tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines
  • Collaborative approach, team player
     

Languages

  • English mother tongue
  • Additional languages (Spanish, German, French) an advantage
