The Application Support Senior Manager is accountable for management of complex application environment for partners in investment banking area (covering treasury, custody, brokerage). The person leads the team of IT professionals responsible for application management, systems maintenance and change implementations. The role is within IT Service Delivery Department at Citi Handlowy and together with other peer groups maintains and enhances Bank application environment


+ Manages application management & support team for investment banking systems

+ Provides a holistic view of the testing & production environments for both technology and business management, working closely as a trusted partner for senior business heads.

+ Provides guidance on feedback reviews with development managers / vendors ensuring outstanding issues are tracked to closure

+ Performs controlled resolution of incidents and problems including prioritization and escalation to relevant groups when appropriate, root cause analysis of all problems with follow-through to resolution.

+ Manages audit, compliance and infosec issues related to managed systems

+ Consults with the primary clients of the application in conjunction with development managers/vendors in order to understand the strategic objectives of users and support enhancements to managed systems

+ Champions stability initiatives to enable application high availability for Business-As-Usual which includes better monitoring, failover and resiliency

+ Shares responsibility for budget management which directly impacts the apps management & support area; accountable for resource planning


+ Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills both in English and Polish

+ Experience with people management

+ Highly assertive communications skills, commanding personality. Ability to lead the discussion with clear, articulate, and highly assertive communication.

+ Ability to plan and organize workload

+ Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders

+ Calm and analytical when faced with major incidents on critical systems

+ Experience with application management / application support would be an added advantage, but not essential


+ Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred
