We are currently seeking an Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team working on cutting-edge technology.
You will be developing a UK-leading mobile-first integrated platform designed to streamline HR and Payroll processes. This platform offers a user-friendly interface, real-time functionality, and comprehensive integration.
As the Engineering Manager, you will serve as a vital link between our Poland and UK-based teams, ensuring seamless collaboration, effective communication. Whilst this is a hands-off role you will be using your experience as a technical contributor to help your team make decisions and attain the best outcomes.
responsibilities :
Close cooperation with Polish-based teams: lead and manage a team of software engineers and testers, providing guidance, mentoring and coaching.
Ensure best practices in Software Development are maintained.
Ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability of code and software architecture.
Monitor team performance and set performance goals, conducting regular performance evaluations, and providing feedback.
Working with Scrum Masters to identify and address any issues or challenges faced by the team and implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Drive a generative culture of high cooperation where learning is the heart of everything we do
Work closely with the Product Design Team to manage the resources required, to achieve the product roadmaps considering recruitment, training and the acquisition of tools and frameworks in a timely fashion to avoid delays in delivery.
To be an advocate of the Agile development practices employed by the development function.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and seek opportunities to apply them to the team’s work.
Promote and develop a culture of continual improvement where Engineering teams are continually striving to be the best.
Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and clients, providing regular updates on product progress and issues to manage expectations.
requirements-expected :
The role requires travelling to the UK once per month for a whole week to collaborate with the UK-based team and stakeholders.
Technical background, preferably as a .NET Developer
Previous experience in a similar position, such as a line or project manager
Strong communication skills
Excellent proficiency in English
Able to demonstrate leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team of software professionals.
Strong technical skills and a solid understanding of software development concepts and technologies.
Good understanding of what software architecture looks like.
Proficient in Agile development methodologies.
Understanding of Continuous Delivery best practices.
Awareness of security requirements for handling sensitive information.
